DIATABS contains Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg per capsule. It is an anti-diarrheal medication that works by slowing down bowel movement, allowing the intestines to absorb more water and electrolytes, thus firming up loose stools.

Indication:

  • For the symptomatic treatment of acute or chronic diarrhea, including:

    • Traveler’s diarrhea

    • Non-specific acute diarrhea

    • Chronic diarrhea associated with inflammatory bowel disease

  • May also be used to reduce the volume of discharge in patients with ileostomy.
